Know before you book

  • You must be able to climb and descend the 463-step staircase to the dome.
  • If you are pregnant, you should not take part.
  • If you have limited mobility or cardiovascular diseases, you should not take part.
  • This activity is unable to accommodate strollers or baby carriers.
  • If you have problem of vertigo and claustrophobia you should not take part

The breathtaking views from the top of the monument and the beautiful frescoes made by Vasari are worth every one of the 463 steps it takes to get there.
