What you can expect

Explore the natural marvels of northern Arizona by visiting Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon, and Horseshoe Bend. Learn about Navajo culture from a local Native American guide and check out the quaint desert cities of Flagstaff and Page.

Your tour begins with pickup at your hotel and heads through the Sonoran Desert toward Flagstaff, which rests beneath the San Francisco Peaks, the tallest mountain range in Arizona. Just before entering Page, AZ, embark on a scenic 1.5-mile hike to the Horseshoe Bend Overlook, which offers awe-inspiring views into a deeply carved channel where the Colorado River winds far below.

Your next stop is the spectacular Antelope Canyon, a slot canyon of deep red-rock chasms that were created by water erosion over thousands of years. Walk through with a local Navajo guide who presents the history, culture, and geology of the region. Once you reemerge from the canyon, head towards the shores of Lake Powell, a massive reservoir on the Colorado River that straddles the Utah border. Your next destination is the city of Page, where you can enjoy a satisfying lunch at a local eatery (own expense). After departing Page, you have a chance to stop at a Navajo trading post to learn about Navajo culture and see how their intricate crafts are made.

To participate in this tour, guests must be able to perform the following movements: For Antelope Canyon – You must be able to walk on slanted, uneven sandstone and loose sand, and climb up and down steep metal ladders/stairs – some with railings. Antelope Canyon is not strenuous but does require agility, balance and grip. For Horseshoe Bend – Visiting this overlook requires a 1.5 mile round trip walk on a dirt path with no shade. *Additional notes for Antelope Canyon – Service animals are not allowed, purses/backpacks are not allowed, tripods are not allowed, hiking poles are not allowed.
