The charming town of Lüneburg has a rich Hanseatic history. Salt mining once was a source of wealth for its inhabitants, as the architectural ensemble of the city, which has been perfectly preserved to this day, attests to. Stroll through the old centre with a guide, along the legendary “Salzböschung” at the Ilmenau and the fish market Stintmarkt and learn a lot of interesting things about the Hanseatic past of this city.
