What you can expect

Join this experience to have breathtaking views on Mt. Fuji, a world heritage site and a symbol of Japan. You will reach Mt. Fuji's 5th Station, the highest point accessible to vehicles: here you will have the chance to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery of Mt. fuji even if you're not a experienced climber!

After descendig Mt. Fuji, you will be heading to Lake Kawaguchi, the second largest out of the 5 Fuji lakes. You will be stopping by Lake Kawaguchi Craft Park. Away from tourists crowds but close to the lake shore where, when the waters are calm, you will be able to see Mt. Fuji and its reflection on the lake surface. Lake Kawaguchiko also offers a variety of colors that changes with the seasons. Pink Cherry blossom in spring, Purple lavender in summer, Momiji (red leaves) in autumn and the Silver Forest Festival in winter.

Get on the bus again to move to Oshino Hakkai (Springs of Mt.Fuji), a world cultural heritage site. Here you can find eight ponds, home to the purest water of Japan! The water, coming from the majestic volcano, is so pure that you can drink it directly from the spring.

The tour's final stop is Gotemba Premium Outlets: the largest shopping mall of Japan. There are over 200 shops including popular Japanese brands as well as luxurious international designer's brands. Gotemba Premium Outlets are located in unique landcape on the hills of Shizuoka Prefecture, the best spot to take a picture of Mt. Fuji at dusk.

Please note: During heavy snowfall season (October to May) the road leading to Mt. Fuji's 5th station will not be accessible. In this case, instead of Mt. Fuji 5th station, you will visit Kitaguchi-Hongu-Fujisengen Shrine, an historical, religious site that used to be the departure place of pilgrims who travelled all the way to the top of Mt. Fuji.

At the base of Mt Fuji it felt as though I was at Mother Earth - volcanic black gravel, wispy dancing clouds and a light dusting of snow. This was a TRULY reverent moment in my life. The raw rugged beauty inspired great piety and calm. A magnificent trip balanced with a stop at the Premium shopping outlook although I still couldn’t keep my eyes from Mt Fuji-San as the red sun set to its side.

The tour was amazing and our tour guide was the best. She was fun and interactive and gave us great tips on picture ops. Definitely would recommend this if you're looking for a one day tour. If you're hoping to spend more time at the different spots, this may not be the experience you're looking for.

This tour should be called "Shopping at the mall (1.5h) Lake Oshino ((45min) and possibly Mount Fuji tour. Throughout the tour there was a stress by the guide to buy things and have lunch at the places where they would stop the bus. The stay at mount Fuji which was supposed to be the highlight of the tour was hurried and not much enjoyable at all. Tourists should also understand that especially in later part of the year, the mountain peak may be surrounded by clouds and not visible throughout the tour. We were lucky to be able to see the peak for 5-10 min and then it disappeared behind a large and thick shield of clouds for the whole day, but we did get a good look at it from station 5 and took some pictures.

I lost all my money! The directions weren’t clear and an hour before the meetup no one would answer the phone! So disappointed! On top of that I lost my wallet that day trying to walk all over to find the bus.

Mt Fuji Day Bus Tour - May 4, 2019 - with guide Tom (Dept. from Shinjuku VIP Lounge)... I was very disappointed about the above day tour. Actually, it wasn't a tour - it was just a "lift/ drop off bus service". The guide of the tour, Tom didn't give any talk/ lecture while on the bus except telling passengers where are the washrooms on our stops. It seemed like he doesn't have any knowledge of Japan history, culture, customs... He couldn't answer any questions related to the above... yet, the most of the time while on the bus, he was busy with his cell phone - actually constantly!!! It was truly ridiculous how much he ignored his group of tourists. (See attached pictures). I would do much better to stay one extra day in Tokyo and explore the city by the public transit on my own, than go for the above tour. It was waste of time and money! Stay away from this Tour Agency.
