What you can expect

Welcome aboard the Riverboat CITY of NEW ORLEANS!

The Steamboat NATCHEZ is taking some time off, but her sister vessel, the Riverboat CITY of NEW ORLEANS will be taking her place. You’ll get the same authentic riverboat experience of a leisurely, two-hour cruise on the mighty Mississippi, enjoying traditional live jazz, craft cocktails, and all the beautiful New Orleans sites, while also exploring the newly renovated riverboat. Make sure you check out all four decks - the top deck view is a sight to see!

Here is a bit more about the NATCHEZ for when she returns:

The Steamboat NATCHEZ decks, engine room, and bars will be open for your enjoyment either before or after lunch depending upon your seating time. Included in the ticket price is the cruise, plated Creole Lunch Sampler, and live jazz by the Steamboat Stompers. Gratuities and alcoholic beverages are not included in the ticket price.

Step aboard one of last authentic steam-powered sternwheelers for a memorable cruise around New Orleans on the Mississippi River. Hear stories of the Big Easy's rich history, sit back, relax and enjoy the New Orleans atmosphere as the smooth jazz fills your ears. This 2-hour cruise from the heart of the French Quarter will take you along the graceful Mississippi River.

(Optional) Plated Creole Lunch Sampler Menu

  • Gulf Coast Catfish - Zesty cornmeal-crusted with Cajun spices and fried to a golden perfection
  • Red Beans and Rice - New Orleans classic red beans atop a bed of rice with andouille sausage
  • Jambalaya - Traditional Louisiana dish with chicken, sausage, rice and Creole Seasoning
  • Southern Spoon Bread - Creamy custard-like cornbread
  • New Orleans Bread Pudding - Souffle of local Leidenheimer French bread in a rich custard with Chef’s choice of decadent sauce
  • Community Coffee and Iced Tea Included

Menu items are subject to change by season and availability. We serve primarily Louisiana and domestic seafood but may, at times, use imported crawfish and fish.
