What you can expect

This easy-paced walk takes you to a quieter part of the CBD of Adelaide in the south-east corner where there is a good mixture of Victorian villas and cottages which stand as testament to our early colonial beginnings. Hear the stories about some of the former inhabitants and their families, their occupations and their contribution to life in South Australia in the early years. You will see the visible contrast between the poorer class working cottages and the grand mansions built by wealthy business people and pastoralists. Part of the walk goes along the edge of our belt of Parklands surrounding the city. We also go past an old church still patronised today as well as some old former shops as well as residences.

If you like a walk which is “off the beaten” track, then this is for you!
