Description

Explore the Latin culture and delicious handmade food that makes East Los Angeles exceptional on this guided food tour. Visit some of the area's most popular restaurants and bakeries and learn the generations-long history behind their successes.

Begin with a stop at a family bakery store for some aromatic coffee and some of the finest tres leches cake in East Los. Enjoy a spectrum of flavors with fresh handmade tamales, salsa, and guacamole as your guide takes you on a tour to LA's first tortilla factory, where you can learn about the family heritage behind the classic food.

Later, a short train ride takes you to Mariachi Plaza for a delightful lunch of scrumptious pupusa, a traditional Salvadoran dish made of a thick corn tortilla stuffed with cooked meat, mozzarella cheese, and loroco. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a local iced Mexican chocolate and a delicious baked Pan Dulce before your tour ends.
