per traveler Price is $328

Spend an unforgettable day on Bartolomé, the Galapagos' most recognizable island. Admire colorful lava rock formations, drink in panoramic views of the archipelago, and encounter local wildlife like sea turtles and marine iguanas as you explore pristine beaches.

Transfer from your hotel to a boat and set off in the Itabaca Channel for Bartolomé Island. Famous for its multi-color lava rock formations, the island is one of the most photographed destinations in the Galapagos archipelago. As you land, take note of Pinnacle Rock, a cone-shaped formation that juts out from pristine half-moon beaches and serves as a landmark for the island.

Once on shore, your guide leads you on a leisurely trek to Bartolomé's highest point. From here, you can spot the Isabela, Balta, and Santiago islands all captured in a single panoramic sweep. Spend time admiring the view and watching for penguins darting about in the water before making your way to a beach on the southern coast.

As you walk on the sandy shore, your guide points out local wildlife, such as sea turtles and marine iguanas lazing in the sun. You may also catch sight of nurse sharks and stingrays weaving through the waters close to shore. Take a break for lunch and spend the rest of your time exploring or swimming before returning to Santa Cruz.

BUYER BEWARE Firstly, what you are being charged for this tour is almost exactly double what you would pay through any local Galapagos Island’s agency. These guys are making an absolute fortune on the mark up and only act as the middle man, they don’t own the boats. Now I’ll tell you why I know this... we booked this tour online and the money was instantly taken off my credit card. It appeared very available online. I was then contacted less than 48 hours before the tour was to depart informing me the boat engine was having issues and the two dates I had proposed were both unavailable. Let’s say I sense they simply over booked and have a poor online booking process... seemed like a weak excuse. After walking around Santa Cruz for an entire afternoon desperately trying to find spots on a tour to Bartolome, we were incredibly lucky to find an agency with a late cancellation for another tour of Bartolomé, otherwise we would have travelled all the way from Australia to potentially miss t
