ITINERARY
7:45 - 8:15: Our guide and bus will pick you up from your hotel or meeting point.
08:30: Arrive Tran Quoc Pagoda– the oldest pagoda in Ha Noi built in the 6th century.
09:00 – 9:15: Visit Ho Chi Minh complex, you have a chance to visit the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh (just visit outside Mausoleum on Monday and Friday) then walk around the garden to see stilt houses where he lived & worked from 1954 to 1969.
Special note: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed for maintenance under yearly plan, from 10 June 2024 until 13 August 2024, we just visit outside.
Then visit One Pillar Pagoda where worships the Goddess of Mercy – It is the most unique pagoda in the world.
11:00: We continue visiting the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology to learn about the culture of 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam. (Mondays and Lunar New year days, the museum is closed, then we will visit Ho Chi Minh OR Vietnamese Women Museum).
12:30: Have lunch at local restaurant. You have an opportunity to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine with delicious dishes.
13:30 – 13:45: Continue visit Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam, established in the 11 century
15:00: We come to visit Hoa Lo prison. The French kept mainly political prisoners here along with those awaiting sentencing at the nearby Court of Justice, also where American pilots who had been shot down and captured were kept as prisoners of war. The pilots called it, sarcastically, the “Hanoi Hilton.” John McCain was held here at various times during his five and a half years as a POW.
16:15: Tour finishes. Back to hotel.
