Description

Joining this Vientiane city tour, you will discover some of the main attractions in Vientiane, which is the largest city and the capital of Laos, the city of the full-moon - an ancient city, located on the bend on the left bank of the Mekong, in an entirely different way.

In the morning time, you will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vientiane, to explore the religious museums of Wat Sisaket, which is regarded as the most ancient temple surviving from the Siamese war of 1828 and its cloister includes a large number of 8000 Buddha statues;

Ho Prakeo, the Emerald Buddha statue or Pra Keo’s former home-temple from the early time of Lane Xang Kingdom until the 18th century, but today it has an amazing collection of Buddha statues, antiques and all artifacts found in around Vientiane;

That Luang Stupa, which is the biggest stupa in Laos, the single most essential monument in Laos, which was constructed to cover the original small stupa featuring a piece of the chest bone of Buddha, serves as the main and iconic stupa in Laos. Not only being the national symbol and recognizable throughout the world, it also gathers place for national Buddhism ceremony.

Patouxay (Arch de Triumph), constructed quite recently in commemoration of those who died during the wars in the past and it is today as one of the most outstanding the landmarks of Vientiane.

Then, you will have lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will continue the sightseeing tour to Carol Cassidy, a gallery weaving Lao textiles and natural dye making process from A-Z; Buddha Park on the Mekong of which Buddha statues built by a Lao man in order to teach following generations about religions worldwide after his study in India, in modern style shapes. Among them, there is the largest Reclining Buddha in Laos. A larger park was built in Nong Khai, Thailand and his body has been kept there.
