The Tree of Laziness has become one of the best known tourist attractions in Jericoacoara. Next to Pedra Furada, it is one of the postcards of the village. It is simply a tree native to the region, isolated amidst the sands of the Jericocoara National Park, a few meters from the sea. The scientific name of its species is Conocarpus Erectus, popularly known as Mangue-de-Button. Because of the strong sea winds, it grew hunched over, as if lying down or dragging itself along the ground.

Duna do Por do Sol

Next to the village of Jericoacoara is a high dune that is very popular in the late afternoon to watch the sun setting into the sea, it is called Duna do Pôr do Sol.
