Description

Uncover the fascinating culture and heritage of Seoul and the Joseon Dynasty on this afternoon tour to South Korean hotspots. Visit the impressive Furniture Museum, head to the luxurious Unhyeongung Royal Residence, and admire the stunning scenery at Jogyesa Temple.

A comfortable coach whisks you from your hotel to the Furniture Museum, featuring antique furniture from the longest-ruling Confucian dynasty, the Joseon Dynasty. Marvel at the museum created by university professor Jung Mi-sook, who amassed 2,000 pieces of Joseon furniture over 5 decades. Snap a few photos of 10 exquisite hanok structures among a beautifully groomed landscape.

Your next stop is Unhyeongung Royal Residence, known as the home of many royal figures including the boy who would become an emperor during the late Joseon Dynasty. Embrace the elegance of the building which was renovated under the rule of Queen Mother Jo, who ordered the palace-like house have exactly 4 monumental gates.

Head back to the center of Seoul and see the Jogyesa Temple, containing a picture-perfect courtyard home to 500-year old locust trees. Next, visit Insa-dong—a shopping district filled with narrow alleys and streets with many galleries, traditional restaurants, tea houses, and cafés.

Note: The Furniture museum is closed on every Sunday, Monday, January 1st, New Year’s holidays, and the Chuseok holidays. And Unhyeongung Palace is closed on every Mon.
