  • The Carpigiani Gelato University is approximately 27 minutes from Bologna. You may either follow the guide in a separate car or have the guide ride along with you in your vehicle. You will receive confirmation of your exact tour departure time and meeting point when you call to confirm your reservation.

The Carpigiani University was established in 2003 by ice-cream machine maker Carpigianito help ice cream-making entrepreneurs and home cooks eager to make their own frozen treats to learn the basics of making gelato.

Enjoy an insightful presentation and a taste of some of the ingredients that go into traditional and more novel flavors of gelato.
