What you can expect
The beauty of the Grand Canyon's South Rim highlights this ride through the Kaibab National Forest. Yavapai Point offers majestic views of the mighty Colorado River before a walking tour of Grand Canyon Village and the South Rim Historic District.
Journey along the rim of the Grand Canyon through the Kaibib National Forest on a former stagecoach trail in a custom-built 4x4 safari vehicle. Large forest trees enhance the beauty of the landscape, and look out for chance sightings of Rocky Mountain elk, mule deer, and the illusive Colorado condor.
Ride to Yavapai Point and look out at the majestic, unobstructed view of the canyon. Along the way, your guide shares stories of the native people, history and points out sights that aren't to be missed.
Your walking tour begins at Grand Canyon Village. Learn about this historic site with places like the El Tovar Hotel, built in 1905. Visit Kolb Studios – a photography studio and home built in 1904 and perched on the very edge of the rim – and Hopi House, built from sandstone as a market for Native American crafts in 1905.
The Safari & Rim Walk is a three hour driving/walking tour which includes about a 90 minute guided walk (broken into 2 segments) along the rim of the Grand Canyon.
2 person minimum.
