Description

Immerse yourself in the remarkable beauty of the Noosa Everglades on this intimate kayaking trip. A guide takes you paddling across Lake Coothoraba to Kinaba and into Fig Tree Point, where you can get up close and personal with the native flora and fauna all around you.

Meet your guide early in the morning in the Noosa Everglades, Queensland's first UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Spread over 370,658 acres (150,000 ha), the Noosa Everglades offer endless opportunities to discover the beauty of nature. Get familiarized with your kayak, then follow your guide out onto the water, paddling across Lake Cootharaba to Kinaba. At Kinaba, an old information center built on stilts, learn about the local geography, flora, and fauna with your guide.

Continue on to Fig Tree Point, where you stop on shore to enjoy a meal before taking a short walk through the bush. Get up-close looks at Australian plant life, and keep an eye out for the native creatures that make the bush their home. On the full-day tour, enjoy a trip up to the Upper Noosa River, famed for its still, mirror-like waters in the afternoon. End your adventure with a leisurely paddle back across Lake Cootharaba to your starting point.
