What you can expect

From Portland, tour the beautiful Columbia River Gorge and its magnificent waterfalls. See breathtaking views at stops like the Portland Women’s Forum, Crown Point Vista House, Latourell Falls, Multnomah Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Shepperd’s Dell.

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city to explore the waterfalls along the Columbia River. Your tour starts at the scenic viewpoint called the Portland Women's Forum. From there you can appreciate the magnitude of the Columbia River Gorge as it carves its way through the land spread out before you.

Next, stop at the Crown Vista Point House. Its views are only rivaled by the elegant German Art Nouveau architecture of the domed building. Browse the gift shop and admire the opalescent glass windows. Then, continue to Latourell Falls which plunges 249 feet (76 m) over a massive wall of columnar basalt, some of the best formations in the Pacific Northwest, before cascading toward the Columbia River. Depending on weather, you may also stop at the elegant Bridal Veil Falls while driving along the historic Columbia River Highway.

With more than 2 million people stopping by each year, Multnomah Falls is the most visited natural recreation site in the Pacific Northwest. After standing on the bridge spanning the cascading water you are sure to understand why. Take time to admire the unique geology of the area as your guide explains how ice age floods left their mark on the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.

The best thing about this tour was the tour guide/driver Phil. He was extremely upbeat, knowledgeable about the area and full of positive energy. He took us to see 4 or 5 beautiful water falls and to a structure high above the hills with spectacular views of the river and other areas below. I definitely would recommend this tour or any of their other tours with Phil.
