Itinerary Overview

07:00 – Meet at Shinjuku West Exit (Sumitomo Mitsui Bank, 1-7-1 Nishi-Shinjuku). Look for the GOGODAY yellow flag.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early. The tour will leave on time and will not wait for late arrivals.

10:00–13:00 – Mt. Omuro and Izu Cactus Zoo
Enjoy free time exploring the scenic Mt. Omuro and the unique Izu Cactus Zoo.
Approx. activity time: 2.5 to 3 hours
Tickets (not included):

  • Mt. Omuro Cable Car: 1,000 yen (adult), 500 yen (child)

  • Izu Cactus Zoo:

    • Adults: 2,700–2,800 yen

    • Elementary school students: 1,300–1,400 yen

13:00 – Depart for Izu Kogen Station

13:23 – Take the Izu Sea View Train (Resort 21 Kurofune or Kinmezu)
Train ride from Izu Kogen to Izu Inatori with scenic coastal views. Window seats are limited and not guaranteed.

14:20–15:00 – Jogasaki Coast and Kadowaki Suspension Bridge
Free time to explore coastal cliffs, volcanic rock formations, and ocean views. (Approx. 40 minutes)

15:30–15:50 – Stop at Ito Marinetown
A short break to relax or grab a quick snack. May be skipped in case of heavy traffic.

18:10 – Return to Shinjuku West Exit

What you can expect

Start your day early at 07:00 at the Shinjuku West Exit (Sumitomo Mitsui Bank) and look out for the GOGODAY yellow flag for your meeting point. It's strongly recommended to arrive at least 10 minutes early, as the tour departs promptly.

Your journey begins with a scenic drive to Mount Omuro, a dormant volcano with a smooth, pudding-like shape offering stunning panoramic views. You’ll have 2.5–3 hours of free time, which includes the opportunity to take the Mount Omuro Cable Car and explore the quirky Izu Cactus Zoo. (Tickets are not included and must be purchased on-site.)

Afterward, regroup at 13:00 and head to Izu Kogen Station, where you'll board the iconic Izu Sea View Train – Resort 21 Kurofune/Kinmezu at 13:23. Though sea view seats are limited, the train offers a scenic rail experience along the beautiful Izu coastline.

Arriving around 14:20, explore the rugged Jogasaki Coast and Kadowaki Suspension Bridge. Marvel at volcanic cliffs and dramatic ocean views during your 40 minutes of free time.

At 15:30, enjoy a short break (15–20 minutes) at Ito Marinetown, a seaside rest stop featuring shops and snacks. Please note, this stop may be skipped in case of traffic delays.

Return to Shinjuku West Exit by around 18:10, wrapping up a day full of nature, views, and unforgettable Izu experiences!
