Katsuo-ji, Atago Nenbutsu-ji & Arashiyama Hiking Tour
Day Tour Itinerary: Katsuo-ji, Adashino Nenbutsu-ji & Arashiyama
08:00 – Meet at Nihonbashi Exit 2
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early. The tour will depart on time and we cannot wait for late arrivals.
09:00–11:00 – Visit Katsuo-ji Temple
Explore this beautiful temple known for bringing good luck and success. (Approx. 2 hours; admission not included)
12:00–13:00 – Adashino Nenbutsu-ji Temple
Stroll among thousands of stone statues in a peaceful setting that feels straight out of a Ghibli movie. (Approx. 50 mins; self-guided)
13:10–16:10 – Free Time in Arashiyama
Enjoy about 3 hours to explore the scenic Arashiyama area at your own pace. You can walk or take transport to Togetsukyo Bridge.
Suggested walking route:
Adashino Nenbutsu-ji → Saga-Torii Moto → Mikami Shrine → Bamboo Grove → Tenryu-ji Temple → Togetsukyo Bridge
(This walk takes about 1 hour. Choose 3–4 spots to enjoy comfortably.)
16:20 – Begin Return Trip
We’ll start heading back after a full day of exploring.
17:00 – Disband at Kyoto Station (Hachijo Exit)
Arrival time may vary depending on traffic.
18:00 – Tour Ends at Nihonbashi Exit 2

- Seniors 70 must be healthy submit a health certificate and travel with someone aged 22 above
- Minors 18 must be with an adult during the tour
- Not recommended for pregnant women those with heart conditions acrophobia or other health risks
- Tour open to nonMainland China travelers Language support only in Chinese and Japanese
- Luggage is not recommended on one-day tours. If needed, each person may bring one item free (any size), but it must be declared when booking. Extra items cost 2,000 Yen each.
