A wonderful day of wildlife and scenery awaits you on the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway. Explore the lush gardens of Rainforestation, ride the amphibious Army Duck, enjoy the Wildlife Park, and admire the jungle from aboard the Skyrail before your return journey.

Once an easy pickup takes you out from Cairns, get settled in for a ride on the Kuranda Scenic Railway. The famous train carries you along one of the world's most scenic rail routes, through hand-hewn tunnels and over bridges spanning spectacular gorges. When you arrive in Kuranda, take some time to explore the many and varied shops, as well as the Kuranda Markets.

In the afternoon, take the shuttle coach to Rainforestation, set in nearly 100 acres (40 ha) of lush gardens and tropical rainforest. Board the amphibious Army Duck where an experienced guide will show you unique tropical fruits, ancient rainforest plants and spot for native wildlife. Visit their Koala & Wildlife Park before taking the shuttle back to Kuranda to board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. The Skyrail takes you on a spectacular route over the rainforest canopy, with stops along the way where you can take a stroll or visit the CSIRO Interpretive Centre before your coach departs for the return trip to Cairns.
