Get your hands dirty as you take part in organic activities that have been a part of traditional Japan for thousands of years. Depending on the season, you can try your hand at basic farming tasks such as planting or harvesting rice, one of the most important staples of Japanese cuisine—all under the watchful eye of a seasoned farmer.

Follow your guide to a traditional village house where you are greeted and welcomed by the lovely couple who lives here. This tour was our absolute favorite and we have been in Japan for awhile now (20 days total). Shino, our host was very knowledgeable and sincere. She made sure we were comfortable, happy, and answered any questions we had about Japan and the surrounding area. Ikai and her family were so gracious to have us in their home. The food was probably the best home cooked meal you'll have during your stay and the views around lake Biwa by bicycle were tranquil and beautiful. Overall, this tour is highly recommended and definitely worth it! Thank you for an amazing day!

My wife and I had a lot of fun. It was nice to take a break from the big cities in Japan, to visit the country side, and be invited to the home of a local family. Both our tour guide, Misako, and the coordinator, Hiromi, were very nice and well-prepared.
