Description

Spend a relaxing day at Las Caletas Beach, one of the Puerto Vallarta area's most secluded and pristine hideaways. Plenty of opportunities to sunbathe, snorkel, and paddleboard makes this serene pocket of Jalisco the picture-perfect place to while the day away.

Board a spacious vessel that whisks you across the shimmering waters of Bahía de Banderas toward Yelapa, where you disembark and head to Las Caletas, just a short distance away. Arrive at this postcard-worthy beach and marvel at views of its warm, white sand being kissed by breaking waves of turquoise water. It's steep and lush mountain backdrop only adds to the beach's unspoiled majesty.

Once you're settled on the shore, you can either kick back and relax or try your hand at a variety of activities. The use of snorkel gear, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards is all available, as well as a scenic nature walk and admission to Kids' Adventure Park for the young ones. Hit the water with a paddle, or don snorkel gear to check out the area's abundance sea life. You can even explore a cove or swim out to an offshore platform to practice your diving skills.

It was not at all what we expected. There was not enough time to do all the activities and the ones we did get to did not get to enjoy for long. The crew were very friendly but I think that was the only good thing of the trip.

Nice day trip. When we got there, headed straight for the adults-only beach, which was very small, but nice. The bartender there, Victor, was excellent!! Nice person, great drinks and service. Snorkeling was good....saw lots of fish! Some older, less agile visitors might have a hard time getting around this place....or at least getting around it quickly. Lunch was delicious, but we were a bit rushed to get back to the boat being that we were some of the last to be served. Some of the staff brought a SEA LION around and we got to swim with it, pet it, take pics. That was amazing. I always feel bad for the captive animals, though. Only true complaint, and this is somewhat gross, but there was FOOD floating around in the ocean. There were cucumbers, olives, rice, etc....just floating around. Don't know if the staff threw food waste into the ocean thinking it would get eaten or float off into the sea, but it didn't! It hovered right around us while snorkeling. Hmmm???
