What you can expect

Join us on the most informative and personal tour of the most beautiful churches of Linz. Take a walk through the charming streets of the Old Town to discover the city’s artistic architecture and hidden charms. Immerse yourself in the beauty and art.

You will meet with your Private Guide in Hauptplatz, the iconic main square. Among the stylish white and pastel buildings you will see the Old Town Hall, as well as the Holy Trinity Column and Neptune Fountain. The Old Cathedral is only a few steps away. Inside this 17th-century Baroque church featuring two towers topped with onion domes, you will see lavish interiors, with elaborately detailed wooden pulpit and high altar decorated with marble statues and a fabulous painting of Saint Aloysius.

Follow your Local Guide through the stylish streets to the Landhausplatz to see beautiful historic architecture such as the impressive government building Landhaus. Hidden in between is the Minoritenkrich church. You will be charmed by its lovely rococo style with delicate pink stucco and altar paintings by Bortolomeo Altomonte. Next, you will pass by the Landhaus passage and head to the 2-towered Ursuline Church of St Michael. Step inside to see its outstanding ornate baroque interior with high altar featuring the painting of Archangel Michael surrounded by archangels Gabriel and Raphael.

Last but not least, you will visit the top attraction of this tour - the New Cathedral, also known as Mariendom. The monolithic neo-Gothic church is the largest in Austria with 20,000 seats. Inside, you will admire the gorgeous interior design with a majestic altar, crypts, hand carved wood details and exquisite stained glass windows, some of which features the history of Linz. In only 3-hours, you will understand why Linz is known as the capital of art and culture
