Marrakech (Pass by)
Morning Pickup in Marrakech & Departure Toward the Mountains The day starts quietly in Marrakech. Around 8:30 AM, we meet our travelers at the final pickup point — ready for a full day of discovery. As soon as we leave the city behind, the landscape begins to change. We take the scenic road south, where the hustle of Marrakech fades into wide-open plains and fresh air. On the way, the first views of the High Atlas Mountains appear in the distance — snow-capped in winter, soft and golden in summer. This early part of the drive is a chance to slow down, enjoy the road, and feel the transition from city life to the simplicity of the mountains. It sets the tone for a day that’s all about connection — with nature, with culture, and with the Berber way of life.

Your day Begins with an exciting quad biking adventure in the Agafay Desert, only a short drive from Marrakech. One quad bike is shared by two people, making it a fun experience for couples, friends, or family. After a quick safety briefing and getting your helmet and gear, follow your guide across the rocky desert, dry rivers, and wide open tracks. The ride lasts for one full hour and is suitable for beginners or experienced riders. Along the way, enjoy the amazing views of the Atlas Mountains in the distance and the peaceful Takarkoust Lake nearby. The Agafay Desert is known as the “stone desert,” offering the thrill of desert landscapes without the long journey to the Sahara. This activity is a perfect way to start your day with energy, adrenaline, and unforgettable scenery before continuing with the rest of your Moroccan adventure.

The Hollywood Road & Traditional Berber Breakfast From the AGAFAY adventure, we continue our journey deeper into the Atlas foothills, passing through the tiny village of AGUERGOUR . This humble stretch of road might look simple — but it’s charming landes scapes let you discover deeper the atlas mountain's berber villages and its culture As we drive through this cinematic landscape, the valleys widen and the colors shift — red cliffs and terraced gardens built by hand. Soon after, we arrive at a local women’s cooperative dedicated to producing traditional argan oil, one of Morocco’s most treasured natural products. Here, you’ll be warmly welcomed with a homemade Berber breakfast: fresh bread baked on fire, olive oil, local honey, and of course, argan oil to taste. This is not a tourist show — it’s real, rural Morocco. You’ll learn how the argan oil is extracted, hear stories from the women themselves, and take your first steps into the heart of Berber culture and hospitality.

Scenic Photo Stop in Agresiwal Village We continue climbing into the heart of the mountains until we reach Agresiwal, a postcard-perfect Berber village perched along the hillsides. Known for its terraced fields, stone paths, and mud-brick houses, this village captures the spirit of mountain life in its purest form. We make a short stop here to admire the landscape and take stunning photos. It’s a peaceful, quiet moment to breathe in the mountain air and appreciate the timeless architecture and farming traditions still alive today. If you wish, you can also enjoy a quick Moroccan coffee or mint tea at a nearby village café (optional and not included in the tour price), before we head on.

Optional Guided Hike in Imlil Valley We arrive in the peaceful mountain village of Imlil, the gateway to Toubkal National Park and one of Morocco’s most scenic hiking areas. Here, you’ll have the option to join your local guide for a 1.5-hour walk through the Imlil Valley — a gentle and immersive route suitable for most fitness levels. The trail leads past walnut groves, flowing streams, and tiny Berber hamlets built into the hillsides. You’ll also pass by the well-known Imlil waterfall, with plenty of time for photos and water breaks along the way. For guests who prefer to skip the walk (due to back, knee, or mobility issues), you’re warmly welcomed to ride with our driver directly to the guide’s family house in the village. There, you can relax on the rooftop terrace, sip tea, and enjoy breathtaking mountain views while the rest of the group completes the hike and joins you shortly after.

Lunch at Your Guide’s Family Home After the hike (or a peaceful rest on the rooftop), the entire group comes together for a home-cooked Berber lunch — not in a restaurant, but in the warm, welcoming house of your local guide. You’ll be seated on the rooftop terrace, surrounded by panoramic views of the High Atlas peaks and the green valley below. This is where Moroccan hospitality shines: the table is set with homemade chicken tagine, slow-cooked with local spices, and a generous portion of vegetarian couscous made with seasonal vegetables. Vegetarian and vegan options are available — just let us know in advance. This lunch is more than a meal — it’s a moment of real connection, shared with a local family in the heart of the Atlas Mountains.

Return to Marrakech After lunch and some time to relax, we say goodbye to the mountains and begin our drive back to Marrakech. The return journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, winding down from the cool heights of Imlil back toward the warmth and buzz of the city. As always, we’ll make sure to drop off each traveler at the same location where they were picked up that morning — whether it’s your riad, hotel, or a central meeting point — ending the day with care and comfort. If you’re looking for more than a photo stop, and want to feel the warmth of local hospitality, this journey is for you. ✅ Book now and let us welcome you into our home in the heart of the Atlas.
