Description

Discover the history and culture of the ancient Maya civilization on this full-day tour. Climb the highest pyramid in the Yucatan Peninsula, see how the Maya traditions live on today, and learn the fascinating history of this amazing archaeological site.

A convenient ride from your hotel brings you to Coba, a ruined Mayan city and now an archaeological site. Here, the more adventurous can climb the pyramid of Ixmoja and admire the spectacular views from the summit. Learn the secrets of the Maya people as your expert guide shares detailed information and fascinating stories to complement the tour.

Next, visit a small Mayan community to get a sense of traditional day-to-day life. Your time might include visiting a Mayan house and learning about how the people make their living from the land.

After lunch, your final stop is at a local cenote, an underground river cavern that truly captures the area's natural beauty and offers the perfect spot to cool off with a dip in crystal-clear waters. Don't miss the chance to experience—and photograph—this extraordinary natural phenomenon.

We took this tour because we wanted to climb up Cobá pyramid and swimming in cenote. Since our hotel was located in Cancun hotel zone, it took us full 12 hours with tour and bus ride. People in our group were 50+. If you are interested in visiting one of Mayan family, it’s right tour for you . Multum-Ha ( name of cenote that we went) was less crowded only our group and the other group were there. Clear water. Our guide spoke Mayan, French, English and Spanish.
