Overview

It is an iconic trekking in Torres del Paine. We leave early so as not to join up with all the other regulars and agencies that do the same route. In this way, we take advantage of the most exclusive and not so crowded viewpoint both in summer and winter. Know before you book

  • Not recommended for pregnant travelers

  • Consider bringing knee pads for the descent as it gets bumpy quite a bit.
  • Bring shoes and clothing suitable for independent activity at the station, as the weather in Patagonia is unpredictable.
  • We do not take anyone who does not have trekking shoes, a waterproof jacket and pants, and first, second and third layer clothing.
  • We do not take anyone who has a bus or flight on the same day of the hike.

Activity itinerary

We pick up our clients at their accommodation at 5:30 am, we continue for 1:30 hours by vehicle to the entrance of the Portería Laguna Amarga Park where we will show our tickets, we continue for 30 more minutes to the welcome center, where we will prepare to do one of the most emblematic treks in the Magallanes and Torres del Paine region. It is a minimum of 4 hours up and 4 hours down, the trail is the same there and back, our main objective of this activity being the Torres Base Lookout, which we will see only once we have finished the trail, after 5 to 4 hours of climbing. We recommend that you come mentally prepared both physically and psychologically. The return trip is the same in length and time, if you have knee problems consider bringing knee pads for the descent as it is quite bumpy. NOTE: Buy your tickets to the park online on the page of; pasasparquesnacionales.cl which costs USD 39 per person, thus optimizing our entry to the park.
