Monteverde Hanging Bridges Nature Exhibit Tour Activities

Hotel Pick up

• After pick up from your hotel, you will be driven to the Monteverde Cloud Forest - For those staying on the Pacific Coast, your travel time will be approximately 3.5 hours to reach the Cloud Forest.

Sloth Sanctuary

• In the sanctuary, you can have a close experience with the sloths as they travel freely between paths specially created to roam among the trees and foliage of the exhibition. This provides a safe distance that allows observation while preventing as much stress on the animals as possible. These beautiful mammals have arrived at the sanctuary as refugees from the effects of poaching, habitat destruction, orphanage, illness and accidents among other reasons that prevent them from being reintroduced to their natural habitat.

Hanging Bridges

• The Tree Top Walkways consists of a 1.9 mile (3km) trail that crosses through the Monteverde Cloud Forest. Here visitors will walk on 8 different bridges with lengths of 150-510 feet (50-170m) and altitudes ranging between 36-180 feet (12-60m). Each bridge is 5ft wide & a capacity of up to 80 people making them both the longest and strongest bridge systems in Monteverde.The Tree Top Walkways are suitable for people of all ages & the hike usually takes between 1.5 and 2 hours.

Butterfly Garden

• Selvatura Park boasts one of the largest and most beautiful butterfly gardens and is home to more than 30 species of Costa Rican butterflies.. Wander through this spacious dome that ensures the perfect amount of sunlight and shelter from the wind for these delicate animals to flutter between the array of nectar-rich flowers.
