Description

Immerse yourself in the magical setting of the MUSA Underwater Museum, an extraordinary display of artwork in the waters of the Caribbean Sea. This leisurely snorkeling tour takes you to the outskirts of Isla Mujeres to admire the remarkable artifacts anchored on the bottom.

This spectacular exhibition features the work of British artist Jason deCaires Taylor, a specialist in underwater sculptures. Taylor designed the museum and its numerous marine cement figures to raise awareness and help protect the coral reefs.

Head out to sea from the Aquaworld Marina and make your way to the waters around Isla Mujeres and the site of the museum. Enjoy the view of Cancun's hotel zone as you cross the mighty Nichupté lagoon, and then prepare your mask and dive in to see the unique collection of exhibits on the seabed.

Admire the fascinating sculptures in their exceptional surroundings, many of them surrounded by corals and other marine vegetation. Your inspiring experience at the underwater museum concludes with a boat ride back to the marina.

This is a review from which you make up your own mind. We booked what we thought was a 3.5hr trip to musa. We spent a lot of time on a boat, if you arent good on a boat it will be no good for you. Quite a few people on the boat were sick, we had approx 30 mins at musa, it was very choppy, i dont think that aquaworld would cancel any trips, i spent about two mins in the sea it was very rough, people were throwing up in the sea. We were taken to another reef but i didnt go in the sea but why book a musa trip if you are going to be taken sonewhere else? Nobody was concerned as to why i wanted to get back on the boat, i heard a member of staff say to someone "its your decision if you want to get back on the boat" that said to me - no refund. so if you have good sea legs and can stand choppy water it might be the trip for you.

Tttttt/ttyttyttyttytyttyyyyyyyyyttttttttttttttttt But really was a awesome time. And despite some boating motor issues, the team still gave us a great snorkle experience.

Great day. Wasn’t able to go out to the actual Musa due to the red tide but we did get to see about 5 underwater statues closer to the docks; still pretty cool. The crew didn’t do much else after taking us to the statues, we all just kind of hung out on the boat and drank. You can leave whenever another boat comes by so duration of the “tour” is up to you which is really nice.
