What you can expect

Meet your knowledgeable local guide for a scenic hike to Sveti Vid, the highest point on the island of Pag. Begin in Kolan and continue along quaint shepherd paths towards the rocky peak of Sveti Vid. Get to know the natural landscape and geology of the area as well as the history of human inhabitation since the Roman times.

Take a break when you reach the remnants of a medieval fortress that sits at an altitude of 349 meters. Learn about the history of these sites that dot the hillsides of many islands in the Croatian archipelago one of the largest prehistoric fortresses on the island. Admire the stonework dating back to the 14th century and hear how it has more recently served as a religious site.

After around an hour of hiking, reach the top of Sveti Vid and enjoy panoramic views of the island's rocky coastline, Velebit Mountain, and the Kvarner Islands.
