Unforgettable Experience at Mount Pilatus
Get ready for a day filled with adventure and breathtaking alpine views. Your private guide will meet you directly at your hotel, and after a 45-minute drive we will arrive in Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most charming cities.
From there, we head to Kriens to begin the ascent by gondola. As you rise above the forest and hills, the scenery becomes more impressive at every minute. The first stop is Fräkmüntegg, a spectacular viewpoint where you may also enjoy the thrilling toboggan run. This activity is only available in good weather conditions, and the cost is 9 CHF per ride.
We then continue on the panoramic cable car to reach the summit of Mount Pilatus. At the top, you will find extraordinary views extending across lakes, mountain chains, and the Lucerne region. This is the perfect moment to enjoy lunch at one of the mountaintop restaurants and appreciate the peaceful alpine atmosphere.
After lunch, we will explore the summit area with a light and relaxed hike adapted to the day’s weather and your comfort level. Each viewpoint reveals a new side of the mountain’s impressive landscape.
Summer Season – Golden Round Trip
During the summer months, you may choose to descend via the world’s steepest cogwheel train, a truly unique experience that takes you down to Alpnachstad with unforgettable scenery. From there, you will board a traditional boat for a relaxing cruise of approximately 45 minutes across Lake Lucerne, heading towards the historic city center.
Important: The cogwheel train and the lake cruise operate only in summer.
Winter Season – Alternative Return
During winter, when the train and cruise are not running, the descent will be made by cable car and the return to Lucerne by vehicle. This ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience in all seasons.
To finish the day, we will explore the highlights of Lucerne, including the Chapel Bridge, the Lion Monument, and the Jesuit Church. Your guide will share the city’s history and curiosities as we stroll through its charming streets.
