What you can expect
See the breathtaking natural beauty of the Pacific Ocean from a saddle. From lush mountain valleys to rugged coastline, this horseback trail ride allows you to glimpse some of the most picturesque views in Maui.
Traditional Hawaiian cowboys–paniolos–greet you at the Mendes Ranch Corral. Once you're acquainted with the proper equine companion, saddle up and hop on for an unforgettable ride, trotting off behind your guide at an easy pace as you dive into the tropical landscapes of the islands.
Travel into the Waihe'e Valley to view lush rainforests and magnificent waterfalls. Get a glimpse of a bygone era as you pass by traditional wetland taro patches, and learn about the sacred significance of this valley to the Hawaiian people. Continue down to the rugged coastline for panoramic views as you ride along the shore. Gaze out over the waters of the Pacific as surf crashes along the rocky shore before turning your steed back toward the ranch for the return ride to the stables.
