Description

There are few things cuter than watching hundreds of little penguins scurry across the sand and this day trip to Phillip Island is the perfect way to get up close to Australia's captivating wildlife. Feed kangaroos, have your photo taken with a koala and head to the beach to watch the famous Penguin Parade at sunset.

Leave the busy city of Melbourne behind and stop for morning tea en route to Phillip Island. Your first stop is at the Maru Koala & Animal Park, where you can get up close to native Aussie animals, interact with cute koalas, and hand-feed the friendly kangaroos.

Continue your tour by crossing over the bridge to Phillip Island. Travel along the island's coast, stroll the rugged shoreline at Woolamai Beach and walk along the boardwalks at Seal Rocks. At the Nobbies Centre, learn about the ecology of the island as you watch for seals, and then snap photos of the Blowhole as it spouts skyward.

Spy on wetland birds and wallabies at Swan Lake from hidden platforms and then arrive at Summerland Beach with time to watch the crashing surf before the evening's spectacle begins. Finally, as the sun begins to dip down, be charmed and enchanted as the Penguin Parade begins. Watch as hundreds of tiny little penguins waddle, tumble, and trot across the sand to their nests before beginning your own ride back to Melbourne.

I was in the RH isle seat, over the rear wheel hump in the floor. The buses springs & or shock absorbers are 'wallaby ted' every bump was transmitted thru my seat into my spine. this has obviously been going on for a long time as the seat base was broken at the rear. a rough ride on a broken seat, that lasted for over 7 hours was just delightful. The penguin experience was a first & enjoyable for me.

It was a briloiant tour. The driver was excellent and we stopoed off to see the Pelicans at San Remo the koala and Roo rehab centre Woollamai beach Port rock and stopped to see wildlife en route. He was informative, patient and helpful. The penguin parade was amazing and I felt the tour was excellent value for money

Nice experiences with koala, kangaroo & penguin, bad experiences with duration of times taking & bistro food at Phillips Island.
