What you can expect
Take to the professional kitchen of Amol, a native Goan with an expansive estate, to try your hand at whipping up traditional Hindu Goan cuisine like rich and creamy curries, stir-fried vegetables, and roasted prawns. On this private cooking lesson, enjoy a homemade lunch or dinner that you can learn to make at home.
Meet Amol at his sprawling estate, which is now a resort, and spend the first part of your day getting a tour of the grounds. Walk past aromatic pepper, pineapple, and cashew trees, explore the garden to grab a few fresh vegetables for the day's dishes, and then retire to the kitchen to start preparing your meal.
Depending on what's in season, you might help create rich bowls of kismoor (dried and roasted prawns with grated coconut), freshly baked roti bread, and light fluffy rice cooked to perfection. When the meal is ready, sit down to enjoy the feast with Amol, chatting about life on India's western coast and tucking into tasty desserts.
