What you can expect

Join an expert guide on a full-day tour of Quito's most historically significant landmarks before embarking on a horseback ride to a volcano that offers impressive views of this World Heritage UNESCO site. Your adventure also includes a ride on the famous Teleférico cable car.

Start the day with a pickup from your hotel and a ride to Quito's historic center, making your first stop at the Basilica of the National Vow, the largest neo-Gothic basilica in the Americas. Take a stroll through the winding streets and stop at the Independence Plaza to admire the Cathedral and the Government's Palace. Other stops along the leg of your tour include the Sagrario's Church and the imposing Church and Monastery of St. Francis.

After you've seen all the historical sites, make your way to Teleférico and set off on a scenic cable car ride that takes you from the city center to Cruz Loma hill, at an elevation of 13,500 feet (4,100 m). Next, begin a horseback ride for 3 hours on the Pichincha Volcano, where magnificent views of valleys and snow-capped mountains bring your experience to a stunning end before you're driven back to your hotel.
