The wilderness skis are designed to excel in snowy terrain of Lapland. These skis are wide and rather short by design and they have integrated skins in the base making them a go to choice in variable winter terrain. The adjustable bindings of the skis will fit your own winter shoe so no specific ski boot is needed. Your guide will instruct and teach you the correct and efficient technique for wilderness skiing so this tour is suitable for the absolute beginner as well.

We will begin our wilderness skiing tour from Pyhätunturi Ski Resort area. You'll get to ski in the tranquil wilderness in deep untouched snow and enjoy the clean air and nature of Finnish Lapland. On this tour you get to experience the beautiful winter landscape of Pyhätunturi. Earlier experience with skiing is not needed as your guide will teach you how to use the skis.

During the wilderness skiing tour we will have a light meal by the open fire in traditional Finnish campsite.

The activity is organised in Pyhätunturi area and the meeting point is in the parking lot in front of Naava visitor center from where we will begin our tour. You can find Pyhä-Luosto Visitor Centre Naava at address Luontotie 1, 98530 Pelkosenniemi. Your guide will wait you there with the necessary gear.
