What you can expect
Bikram Yoga is a powerful therapeutic 90-minute yoga class. The lesson consists of 2 breathing exercises and 26 hatha yoga poses (asanas), performed in a heated room. The lesson is always the same and you as a student undergo a process of physical and mental change. With Bikram yoga you work on physical level on strength, flexibility and endurance. On a spiritual level you work on increasing your self-confidence, self-control, determination, concentration and patience. Over time you learn to control your breathing better, so that you can work with your body more consciously and also at a deeper level. Bikram yoga is practiced by both men and women, sometimes the ratio is even 50/50!
