This morning the local guide will meet you at your Shanghai downtown hotel lobby at 9:00 am, you may walk or take a taxi (at your own expense) to start the tour based on your hotel location. The local insider will accompany you to visit the Huoshan Park, which holds the only memorial statue to Shanghai's Jewish community. Then explore Tilanqiao Jewish Isolation Region and walk around the former French Concession.
Lunch is on your own and the guide is always happy to recommend your preferred restaurants. In the afternoon, visit the Jewish Refugees Museum. Housed in the former Ohel Moshe Synagogue where the Jewish refugees gathered for religious activities, the museum holds many scrolls and other cultural relics.
Then visit Shanghai Urban Development History Museum, which displays the urban development in Shanghai from its earliest years to its transformation to one of the world’s most important financial centers. Finally, the guide will escort you back to your hotel to conclude the trip.
