Description

Hop off of your cruise ship and onto a double-decker bus to discover a scenic port founded by Phoenician sailors more than 3,000 years ago. Cadiz caters to culture-loving city-goers as much as sun-seeking beach dwellers. This hop-on hop-off bus tour enables you to explore this destination to your own schedule. The double-decker bus will take you to see the Moorish charm of Cadiz’s old central quarters. With bustling plazas alongside picturesque beaches, this tour has plenty of photo opportunities. Hop off at the iconic cathedral, which also houses the 17th-century baroque Santiago church.

You'll also get to discover Tavira Tower, an 18-century structure that stretches high into the sky. One of 129 towers, this building combines cool city-wide views with the famed Camera Obscura. History fanatics should head for the Museo de Cádiz to awe over their impressive archaeology collection. Why not also explore Playa Sta Maria, which features a stunning sandy shore, or Parque Genoves, one of Cadiz’s pristine patches of greenery.

All started with Expedia vouchers being unable to be scanned on the bus. Then one of the 16 advertised languages for the tour was not available. All ended with us waiting for a bus for 50 minutes, where it was supposed to be a 15-minute wait maximum and giving up eventually. Overall, an overpriced very mediocre experience. Not recommended. Just walk in Cádiz!

There is only 1 route and finish in 1 hour and signage is not existent most time to see which stop it is or where to get on. The staff is not friendly or helpful

It was horrible. I arrived in Cadiz at 3 pm with my elderly father who has COPD. It was difficult to find anywhere to add data to my phone, so we went by taxi to the hotel and took a screenshot with the wifi. We searched ages in the hot sun all around the cathedral. Roadworks made one bus stop in accessible. At another I waved down the red bus but it ignored me. I ran to where people were entering and leaving but he shut the doors.. He tried to drive off but I blocked him, then he said we needed printed tickets and refused to accept my mobile ticket, but I insisted. Eventually he drove a few hundred meters back and forth and stopped at about 5:15. A taxi would have been much cheaper and easier. We had to leave next morning and have travelled far for this bus trip. I feel very cheated and hurt. There were no headphones either. Exhausting, stressful, disappointing. I will never book these buses again.
