Paddle through the calm estuary and walk along jungle trails and beaches with a professional local guide, visiting a scenic viewpoint and a hidden cave. Along the way, you’ll learn about the region’s history, plants, and culture while searching for wild sloths in their natural habitat. The South Caribbean jungle of Punta Uva is home to both species of sloths found in Costa Rica — the two-toed and the three-toed sloth — as well as turtles, colorful frogs, butterflies, and a variety of tropical birds and mammals. We’re committed to ethical ecotourism: no cages, no feeding, no forced encounters — just genuine wildlife experiences in their natural environment. Because this is a true nature tour, wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but on most days we find several sloths (often 5–10 or more) and enjoy many other animal encounters along the way.
