Description

Paella is Spain's most famous dish, as well as a worldwide culinary icon. Learn to prepare this delightful delicacy, including how to choose the perfect ingredients from a world-class market, during an intimate cooking class of no more than 10 people.

Your half-day experience begins with a visit to the Atarazanas food market, where your knowledgeable guide shows you how to choose the ingredients needed to prepare the perfect paella. Meander the bustling market while learning how to identify the freshest and most flavorful seasonal produce the region has to offer.

After stocking up on ingredients, take a short walk to the kitchen, located in Málaga's Neighborhood of the Arts district. You aren't just an audience member during this interactive cooking class—prepare to get involved in the entire process while an enthusiastic cook guides the way. These cooks, known as “food Sherpas,” are experts in local culture and gastronomy, and speak several languages.

Sip beer or a vibrant regional wine, enjoy tastings of olive oil and roasted almonds, and munch on gazpacho and seasonal fruits as you move through the steps of creating paella. You even take the recipes to complete what's sure to be a highlight of your time in Málaga.
