Know before you book

What you can expect

Breathe in the fresh air as you drive south towards the Slovak border to the mountain resort of Zakopane, located at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. Enjoy spectacular views of the resort, famous for its excellent facilities for winter sports, summer hiking, glacial valleys and waterfalls.

One of the first stops after arriving in Zakopane is the funicular railway that will take you to the very top of Gubalowka. From the top there is a wonderful view of the dramatic granite peaks of the Tatra Mountains and the resort below.

After returning to the foothills of the mountains, go to the oldest part of Zakopane, walk along the central Krupowki street, visit the bazaar with local products and discover the cottages that bear the characteristic architectural style of the region, inspired by folk traditions. Feel the local atmosphere of the Podhale region and return to your hotel in Krakow with a clear mind.
