The Golden Circle, Kerid Volcanic Crater & Blue Lagoon Visit

by Nicetravel Duration 11h Free cancellation available No booking or credit card fees
per adult Price is $144

Visit the two major attractions of Iceland in one fun filled day! The Golden Circle with Thingvellir, Geysir & Gullfoss and the Blue Lagoon plus a visit to the Kerid volcanic crater combined in a great experience.

There is a very good reason why the these tour attractions are at the top of list of must see places for most visitors to Iceland! Here you combine these two magic places in a one day tour with admission to the Kerid Volcanic Crater included. Please note that admission tickets to the Blue Lagoon are not included in the tour price and must be booked separately in advance for the 17:00 / 5pm time slot.

First you will visit Thingvellir National Park,a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is also where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet, which creates an amazing feeling having one foot in each world.

Next up is the world famous hot spring Geysir. Strokkur, another hot spring, sits nearby and is very active, erupting to heights up to 30 meters every few minutes. In the Geysir area you will also have time to buy lunch or some snacks.

Next on the agenda is the waterfall Gullfoss - the golden waterfall. Gullfoss will amaze you with is raw power and beauty, plummeting down 32 meters into a rugged canyon.

These three attractions complete the classic Golden Circle - but to add even more to your experience - we also stop at the spectacular Kerid Volcanic Crater.

Last but not least, you will visit the Blue Lagoon, a great way to relax at the end of the day.

A brilliant day out. The locations visited were beautiful, and a couple of quick extra stops were thrown in by our guide, David. David was a brilliant tour guide - very knowledgeable about the area and the sites visited, friendly and approachable.

Our tour guide Reynir was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! This made the whole experience very interesting, we learnt facts about Iceland and the history of the places we visited on the tour. The blue lagoon was good to see but probably not worth the entry fee. Overall was a good experience and I would recommend the tour to others.

Amazing tour with hotel pickup. Tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly. The waterfall is a must see and absolutely breathtaking. You get a good amount of time at each location and you stop for lunch at the geysers where there is a cafe which serves things like chicken burgers / nuggets etc. Please purchase blue lagoon tickets in advance as they sell out and not included. Make sure you put conditioner in your hair also before entering (leave it in + provided within the showers) as the lagoon is known to dry out your hair! If you purchase the comfort package you get a free towel and a free drink which you can enjoy from a bar within the lagoon itself! We went in winter but this did not make a difference to our experience, possibly making it even more enjoyable as going from around 1°C outside to 37° in the water was amazing. Even when it started to rain the heat of the water made it barely noticeable. We got to the lagoon around 5pm however I recommend emailing to ask in advance.
