Description

Venture to Nahuel Huapi National Park for a full-day adventure through the region's forests, lakes, beaches, and waterfalls. This fully-guided tour ends at Mount Tronador, Bariloche's highest mountain, featuring the unique black glacier.

A comfortable air-conditioned bus whisks you away from your hotel in Bariloche for a scenic ride along the Nahuel Huapi shoreline. Arrive at the nearly 2-million acre (809,370-ha) national park and marvel at the many beautiful lakes scattered throughout the lush-green woods and mountains. The park's largest lake, Nahuel Huapi boasts 138,380 acres (56,000 ha) of deep-blue waters that are sure to mesmerize you. Journey along the pebble beaches, discover thundering waterfalls, like the Los Alerces Cascade, and learn about the region's geological formations, which originated from a volcanic eruption.

Hike towards Mount Tronador, the striking black glacier mountain that forms a boundary between Argentina and Chile. Here, you have breathtaking views of the surrounding forest, lakes, and the neighboring mountain, Ventisquero Negro, named for its striking black color. The glacier is fed by a small river flowing from the spotless, white Rio Manso Glacier, just several hundred feet higher, making for a stunning contrast.

Expedia didn't contract the local tour company until the day before our trip, it's high season in January so they were fuly booked and couldnt take us. We couldnt get in touch with tour staff until an hour before and were told they werent sure if we wanted the Tour in English or Spanish because Spanish was the only one available, well the reservation said clearly Spanish so they cancelled our spot last minute. Very unhappy and wont book Tours with Expedia again.
