A prison, a zoo, an arsenal, and a mint at various times throughout history, the many faces of the Tower of London can be seen in the varied architectural styles on display on the grounds—from half-timbered residences along the Tower Green to the stony heights of the White Tower.

Explore the turrets, keep, and armory on your own, or join in on a Yeoman Warder tour for the ultimate Tower of London experience. Hear the story behind national treasures like King Henry VIII's suits of armor and the crowns and garments of kings and royals from centuries past. Tread in the footsteps of Ann Boleyn as you stand on the site where 3 ill-fated queens met their end, and be swept into Tudor times as you listen to real-life tales of pain, passion, and punishment.

This was overall a great experience. We printed tickets at home and had to exchange these vouchers at the group ticket booth, the time on our tickets said it opens at nine but they didn’t open until 10. The main tip I would give is to go at opening time and go to see the Crown Jewels first. We did this thankfully as it looked like a couple of hours wait later in the day, and we had been able to walk right in.
