What you can expect
With its wealth of Renaissance art and centuries-old architecture around every turn, there's no shortage of cultural heritage on display in Florence. Seek out 2 of the city's must-see sites and make the most of your visit to each, beating the crowds and skipping the lines to see Michelangelo's David and climb to the dome atop Florence's Duomo cathedral.
Rise and shine to meet up first thing with your guide, who's orchestrated the perfect sightseeing outing, factoring in timing, skip-the-line entry, and special access to make sure you get the most out of every minute. Step inside the Galleria dell'Accademia right as the doors open, avoiding the crowds that throng the gallery later in the day, and set up close to David, Michelangelo's sculptural masterpiece, as well as the unfinished works known as the Slaves.
Inside the Duomo, get special access to go beyond the ropes and visit a secret room where original statues from the cathedral's facade are stored. Finally, gaze out over the city from the terraces and skip the line to climb to the top of Brunellechi's magnificent dome, the largest masonry dome ever built and an incredible feat of Renaissance engineering.
