Description

If Fabolous “B.K. Anthem” is any indication, no borough boasts a bigger hip-hop roster than Brooklyn. Soak up the scene as you follow an insider celebrity guide by the formerly tough street corners, projects, and schools that birthed rap legends from the Notorious B.I.G to Jay-Z.

Under Brooklyn's hipster veneer, you can still see once-mean streets like Bedford-Stuyvesant, where Biggie used to hustle, and Jay-Z's stash spot—mentioned in “Empire State of Mind”—at 560 State Street. Roll past Jay-Z's childhood home Marcy Houses.

Pass by the Brooklyn High School of the Arts—formerly named Sara J. Hale High School, this institution was attended by Big Daddy Kane and Lil' Kim, and Busta Rhymes went to class at the nearby George Westinghouse High School. Check out spots where freestyling rappers convened for improvised rap battles and cyphers, and listen as your guide points out buildings and locations featured in music videos and movies.

No trip to Brooklyn is complete without a stroll through Bushwick Collective offering the best photo backdrops in the City.

Guides including Johnny Famous, Sadat X and others give behind-the-scenes perspective you can't get anywhere else.

This was our second tour and we focused on Brooklyn this time. We really loved it! Our guide was knowledgeable, authentic, and transparent. He clearly loved hip hop and knew Brooklyn well. We didn't get a chance to see Jay Z's home because we were walking, versus traveling by bus, but what we did see was great. We would absolutely do this tour again. The team is professional, helpful, and delivers a great experience.
