Know before you book

  • Children below the age of 6 are not allowed.
  • You must be able to climb into the balloon basket and stand upright for the duration of the flight.
  • If you are pregnant, we will not fly you in your 3rd trimester.
  • Balgownie Estate is the meeting & breakfast location
  • Optional add-on - CBD pick up is available from Pullman Melbourne on the Park for bookings that INCLUDE breakfast. Please arrange pickup when you call to confirm your reservation.
  • You must be 18 years of age and present a valid photo ID in order to consume alcohol.
  • Timings may start at different times depending on the time of year as the sunrise is always changing.

What you can expect

Begin your day drifting along the Yarra Valley's grapevine corridors, followed by an optional buffet breakfast.

Leave the hustle and bustle of the city before sunrise and arrive at the balloon take-off site. Receive a quick briefing on flight routines, then hop into the balloon's basket and embark on a relaxing hot air balloon ride over the picturesque Yarra Valley, greeting the dawn as the breeze ushers you through the air.

Take in the lush landscape of the scenic valley below and enjoy views of mountains to the north and the Melbourne city skyline to the south as the sun peeks over the horizon. Back on terra firma, cap off this truly unique way to begin the day with a buffet breakfast, awaiting you at Balgownie Estate.
