Not a place to relax.Posted Aug 11, 2014
The hotel was very busy during our stay. Whilst the pool area is potentially nice (and the water warm) it is not a place to relax. Loud pop music blares out poolside, from morning until late afternoon. The rooms were small and disappointing. My 'pool view' deluxe room had barely a glimpse of the pool. Difficult to see what made it deluxe as it was very small with not even room for the case to fit properly. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful but a few noticeably less so. The restaurant is not a particularly inviting place to sit, but the food was quite good. My main issue with the hotel however was with the guests - many drunk, loud individuals slamming doors and swearing in the middle of the night. Not good for children or those who like to relax and sleep on their holiday. I'm glad we had only booked 2 nights and I shall not be going back again.

Staff service a bit sloppyPosted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Location is good, price is ok.
Cons: Service and sewerage smell from the bathrooms. Oh did i mention the service?
Location: Shopping, beach, restaurants. Good location
Had 7 of us stay for a family holiday, using 3 rooms. Rooms were fine, but the mini bar wasnt refilled as requested. Then at the end of the trip they tried to charge us as if it had been refilled. Tried to ring back to Perth, wouldnt go through but again attempted to charge us. My daughters room was rarely made up, when it was supposed to be daily. Had to ring for towels a few times.........

Value for moneyPosted Jul 28, 2014
Good for a cheap holiday. 24hr room service, adequate buffet breakfast, large bar/restaurant, pool bar and large well appointed rooms cleaned daily. Above average hotel for a budget holiday, have stayed in worse for this price range. Everything within comfortable walking distance.

over rated holiday experiencePosted Jul 21, 2014
Cons: Honesty from locals and a desire to make your holiday more enjoyable to encourage you to come back
Location: Location was central and handy to shops but the experience was forgettable.
The accommodation was very disappointing. Initially the lack of a email address for the hotel made it very difficult to arrange and airport transfer to the hotel and the cars at the airport were charging extremely high prices ($US55) for a short trip. It took two hours to clear the airport. The hotel bedrooms were small and the showers/bath constantly flowed onto the floor. Nothing was done about it despite requests. The shopping was a constant hassel despite it being obvious that they had nothing to fit my larger size. The money changers constantly try to 'rip' you off or short change you by trying to give you smaller notes and then dropping the notes under the counter. They don't like giving larger denomination notes which are easier to count and catch them out on. Overall I was reminded why it has been 10 years since my last trip and I will be going elsewhere again to other parts of Asia for my next holiday.

Good location. Quiet hoel with great pool areaPosted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Safe in the room. Room made up every day. Friendly staff
Location: Coffee corner serves very good breakfasts and coffee (turn right out of the hotel and walk to the next corner)
I stayed at the hotel at the end of June for 6 nights and returned for a further 2 night stay at the end of my trip. As a female solo traveler the pool area was a great place to meet other guests. I arranged a day trip to Ubud and the rice terraces with people I met hanging out at the pool. I decided to stay here for my last couple of nights as the facilities at the hotel were so good and I felt very safe here. The rates for the room fluctuated each time I booked a further stay (initially for 3 nights then anotther 3 then a return for a further 2). After some negotiation I got a price I was happy with. The attached restaurant serves good food but it is expensive in comparison to other local places.
