Bend, Oregon Hotel Rooms at the Independent

Located next to the Deschutes River, this hotel offers quite a bit distractions. A river walk. A park to partake in a picnic. Covered swimming pool and huge jacuzzi. Or take a 10-15 min walk and head into downtown to enjoy a bit of the local life. Great breweries in Bend! TV is outdated. A refrigerator in the room would be good, especially since ice located on ground floor. We were in 3rd floor. Other than that, staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay at this location again.

Best sleep ever , very nice and roomy , fun place to go, lots of things to do, deer everywhere. Great coffee place the Sisters coffee co.

The rooms are very comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked with name brand appliances. We were able to easily walk to many locations, including downtown stores and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and efficient. We plan to stay here each time we visit Bend. It was an enjoyable experience.

Great location, good breakfast. Glass or local wine/beer upon check in was a great touch

Great facilities by the vacation house. House is great for a family vacation, comfort and quiet.

We have gone there about three times in the past few months. I love how it looks like some of the hotels in-which I've spent around $100.00. Usually the cheaper hotels you don't get a refrigerator, microwave, shampoo/conditioner, but all the rooms we've stayed in had all amenities.

I was a little weary about this place, based on other reviews, the pictures and such. I stayed in a "River Ridge Executive Room", which is basically a room with a queen bed. It was part of a little building that had, I believe, 3 other rooms in it (2 upstairs and 2 downstairs). I was really pleasantly surprised. I liked the bed fine. It had a decent-sized fridge, a pretty spacious bathroom, a beautiful 40" (or so) flat panel tv with dvd player, and very decent cable service. The wi-fi internet service was acceptable (and I'm pretty picky). The location is just awesome. Right on a riverbank in a pine forest. The resort includes free access to a huge gym workout facility which includes both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, aerobics classes, and all manner of fitness equipment.

I have stayed here twice now and have had a great experience both times. The staff has been very accommodating. The continental breakfast in the morning is above average for a budget hotel. I was very pleased with the housekeeping. They don't try to cut corners and always make the bed, replace all towels, shampoo, soap, etc. I appreciated it so much I left them a tip. I would highly recommend this place for the money. Thanks for a pleasant experience.
