"Lovely decoration and clean with all the facilities you need. Email with access codes. Booked room because of view and King bed, but bed was a double and smaller than our own bed. Confusion over parking and if there was a private car park. Didn’t receive any info. Be aware of the bikers and motorbikes that tend to park outside the property and could wake you up if a light sleeper."

"Really happy with my stay. Half the price (£65 for Walnut Room) and twice as good as city centre chains. There was a bit of traffic noise (building is close to a busy road) but the room had character (v high ceilings), nice furniture, comfortable bed, was clean and in a good location. Easy to find fault in places but as someone who regularly works away for work, this is definitely a 'come back to'."

"There was a bus direct from New Street Station to the hotel. The area around the hotel was very quiet and well maintained. 30 minute walk from Edgbaston Cricket Ground good carparking."

"The place was quiet apart from a little bit of noise from the neighbours in the next house. Overall ok thanks to the other guest Michael who welcomed me and also showed me that there was a kitchen (microwave oven), which I could use. A bit more clean carpets some places and a few not so expensive improvements would give this place an extra star *"

"It was a very comfortable sleep. A large big room with plenty of storage. The only drawback is that I would have appreciated a mini kettle in my room. I was on the third floor so had a little bit of a trek to the kitchen."

"Accommodation was great, clean and newly refurbished with spacious room and good shared kitchen/laundry facilities. Shortage of forks/mugs however in kitchen. Good location near university with lots of nearby buses and train to centre. Accommodation could do better with recycling though and communal lights left on 24 hrs etc. HOWEVER I extended my stay and was NOT given the new door code so was forced to wait for more than 2 hours outside until the ‘emergency’ phone number picked up. "Beautiful and spacious hotel room in the heart of downtown. Nice bathroom, with a well maintained shower. Plenty of hot water. Fridge, microwave, dishwasher, stove on site for your convenience. The hotel is right in the heart of downtown Birmingham, and the whole downtown is walkable from the hotel. 5 stars!!"

"The hotel as a whole was very nice and modern! Staff were happy to help and the place was very clean. My only issue was that the toilet didn’t flush very easily. We had to hold the button down for at least 30 seconds just for the toilet to start to flush - even then it was very slow and as someone with long nails it wasn’t the easiest of tasks!
