"I was a little worried about staying here after some of the previous reviews but we had, overall, a very pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly and attended to any issues kindly and readily (our kettle tray stopped working at one point for example). The breakfast was very nice- the fry up was good and you can help yourself to whatever else. Coffee not so great. Hotel needs updating admittedly but it was all we needed for an affordable family trip to London when we were out most of the day. "

Small rooms, no food in the hotel, shared bathrooms make it a bit inconvenient, but if you can stay at one third the price of other hotels in the vicinity, have walkable access to Paddington which gives you public transport connectivity across London and you are on a short stay, you should take it!"

"We stayed 2 nights. The view of Maldon quay from our room was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic. The staff were lovely. We felt the hotel would benefit from an update if possible as access to the upetairs bedrooms is appalling, through part of the kifchen which also disperses kitchen smells upstairs. The stairs are also very steep. Bedroom flooring (old lino) needs replacing as did the bed and headboard. The bathroom has been reburbished and was fine. Our room had air con which we didn't...

"Unique little hotel above a popular pub. Not noisy though. Our room was incredibly small. Really cute but the smallest lodging I have ever stayed in. Be sure to tell them if you are large people. That could have been an issue. The hotel is clean and has great staff. "

They seem to have perfected the aparthotel model and it suited us perfectly - someone’s there if you need them but otherwise you’re free to come and go at your own schedule without worrying about housekeeping knocking on your door. They provided every amenity and were generous with refills of coffee pods - we just had to ask! The location was pretty unbeatable too, being such a close walk to Aldgate East and Aldgate tube stations, as well as buses to Brick Lane,...
